J.Crew Shares Fall LookBook

The JCAs have seen previews of the Fall 2010 Collection for sometime (refer to the June 16th "J.Crew Email: Exclusively yours: a behind-the-scen..." and April 2nd "J.Crew's Fall Preview Is Here!" posts).

But here's some more for your viewing pleasure!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Lyssa, Twiga, Danielle, Jordyn, LouiseR, JCrew Guy In Canada, as well as Silver_Lining (in this post), who let us know that J.Crew has posted the Fall 2010 Look Book on their website, as well as share those images with us.

I decided to not post the slide show of the images because I find it slows down the blog a bit (i.e. it takes awhile for the page to load on some computers). Instead I will post the following links:

Men's Collection looks absolutely amazing. Everything is flawless in its execution. For the Women's Collection... Personally, I am not crazy about the styling. It's also hard to see what the individual pieces look like with all that layering goin' on. With all that said, I know me. I know that there will be an item or two from the Fall Collection that I will fall "head over heels" in love with. So I will reserve final judgment in the Fall. ;)

Love the video! I always enjoy watching the steps to create such an event. The preparation involved is fascinating! Is it just me, or does anyone else not like Jenna's "favorite outfit" too? (Her outfit choice is also shown in the email's image.) Where would you wear that too? (I should add, that I do like Jenna. I think she is adorable.)

Cardmember Email: A chic peek, just for Cardmembers

"Thanks!" to many of you, including AnneG, Desert Flower, Marietta, Cass, Irina, & Silver Lining, who shared with us the latest email from J.Crew to its card members.

The email above features the not-yet-officially-released-online the Brompton Hobo (Item 29063; $298.00). J.Crew describes this leather purse as:

An icon in the making, this all-season hobo is that rare blend of elegant and easy-wearing, with a supple, burnished finish that only improves with age. (It's on the top of our must-have list this season.) We love the slouchy, luxurious shape, and rich, old-world patina (our designer handpicked this supple Italian cloud leather to mimic the lustrous, timeworn feel of vintage club chairs). Is it just me, or is this one of J.Crew's lengthier product descriptions? I am all for them, as they tend to add more excitement around the item. The bag is cute but does n0t necessarily stand out as a "must-have". It kind of looks like the cousin of some of the other purses they already offer like the Leather Gallery Satchel (Item 13336; $298.00) & Gallery Hobo (Item 13339; $298.00). But that is just me. :)

On another note, this email (with a sneak peek to the July catalog) means that new arrivals and a new July catalog are just around the corner! :) Although, doesn't it feel like the last roll-out was just a short time ago?

I honestly thought by now, the new arrivals would be on the website. But I am now guessing they want the SUMMER (20% off) promo to end first. So hopefully the new arrivals & catalog should be up tomorrow morning. :)

The email above features the not-yet-officially-released-online Timex® Vintage Field Army Watch (Item 27460; $150.00). J.Crew describes this military style watch as:

I love J.Crew's original Timex Military Watch (Item 10884; $150.00). So of course, I love this latest version too! I really like the off-white dial face & olive-toned watch strap— it has a fresh feel for Spring & Summer. I guess I am not the only one who is loving this piece, because it is already wait-listed (expected to ship 07.19.2010).

The email above features the not-yet-officially-released-online Embroidered Flower Patch Shell (Item 27285; $148.00). J.Crew describes this silk top as:

We love a rich mix of textures , as seen in this dressier silk top all done up with a front panel of embroidered flowers and bedazzling sequins. For a modern touch, our designers finished it off with an exposed back zipper, bracketed by strips of the same embroidered flowers. Part of the J.Crew Collection.

From what I am seeing so far, not a fan of the design for the price tag. It's cute but does n0t necessarily stand out as a "must-have". But that is just me. :)

On a better note, this email means that new arrivals and a new June catalog are just around the corner! :)

Some exciting news: LE Canvas will hopefully be working on both Tall and Petite lengths for next Spring. Yey!!! :)
Once again, I am loving what I am seeing. I cannot wait for the polka-dot button-down (in the first image) and floral button-down (in the 6th image) shirts to be available. And that leather bag... gorgeous!!!

Off On a Tangent: Land's End Canvas {sneak peek for Fall/Winter 2010}

I am a big fan of Land's End new line Canvas (click here to shop online). It reminds me of J.Crew's classic pieces from just a few years ago, with reasonable prices. So naturally I was excited to hear the following news...

Not only are the images fantastic, but so is J's story about how she got them. She was selected to be a part of LE Canvas' focus group and has been a part of it for sometime now. Recently, she (along with the other members of the group) were asked to travel to NYC (all paid trip too!) to attend Canvas' Fashion Preview. The 3-day event included a meet & greet with the designers and President. A-m-a-z-i-n-g!

I am loving the looks that I am seeing from this Fashion Preview. I am also loving the story behind these pictures! "Thanks!" again to J who shared it all with us.

Incidentally, as many of you have mentioned, it looks like tomorrow the website will be updated with new arrivals. {yey!}

Sneak Peek: What's to Come in May! {round 2}

I am loving most of the Men's items, except for maybe the Paisley pants (but that is just personal preference). The styling looks amazing– clean and classic.
The ladies have some amazing pieces too. The Ikat Dot Blazer (Item 26162) is my favorite– I am crushing on it big time. The Painted Silk Dress (Item 26642) is quite lovely too. The Julienne Suede Heels (Item 26400) and Multisse Sequin Tank (Item 26234) are also expected to become available in the next roll out.
I was ready for Spring with the weather getting a bit warmer, and seeing the plants & trees starting to bloom. Now I can't wait for Spring with all the new arrivals slated to come.

I am loving that plaid button-down shirt. I also love the way its paired with the cardigan and wrap around the waist. And that first image... makes me want to go on holiday right now! ;) Can't wait to see more!!! :)
