She learns from "her two dumplings" what works and what doesn't, like if a waist is too small or a button is in the wrong place. I love this jacket! Not only does the style remind me of the Downtown Field Jacket (Item 19034; $148.00), but I am jealous that the boy's version has a hidden-hood. (I want my jacket to have that feature too!)

P.S. I am glad that some of you mentioned this, because I thought it was just me... but what is up with the Downtown Field Jacket (Item 19034; $148.00) returning to full-price?!? Over the holidays, I got this jacket for $59.99 and was pretty pleased at that price. At a few points, it even went down to like $40 (with the additional percent off during the after-holidays sale). Now it is back at full-price. Seems bizarre to go from sale (not even promotional sale) to full price after several months, right?

The email lets us know that Crewcuts is in good company as they have teamed up with "J Girl by J Brand" (click here to shop online). J Brand offers high quality denim jeans, which J.Crew describes as:

I guess this explains the {jaw-dropping} high prices. To be honest, I am shocked at how much the Girls' J Girl by J Brand® Roll-Up Shorts (Item 28520; $106.00) & the Girls' J Girl by J Brand® Classic Skinny Jeans (item 28498; $132.00) are priced at. Especially since kids grow out of their clothes so quickly. (I do not even spend that much on my own jeans!)

With that said, I have no doubt that we will catch one Ms. Suri Cruise, being photographed wearing a pair of jeans from the "J Girl by J Brand for J.Crew" line! ;)

J.Crew Offers a DIY Class {crewcuts style}

The Crewcuts section (click here) of J.Crew offers something a bit different to parents... a do-it-yourself (DIY) tutorial!

Crewcuts Designer Jenny Cooper shares five of her favorite tips to personalize various pieces from the Crewcuts line. They are the following:

We totally went crazy doodling stars, hearts and critters on our rivet chinos. Then we studded one pocket (with a bedazzler) for a little rebel-cool flair.

A little scrap of cheerful yellow fabric inspired us to reinvent our favorite cashmere cardi. We stitched it into multilayered fabric flowers and sewed on a few mini bouquets. (Side note: Also try bits of ribbon or snip up a favorite top she's grown out of.)

All it takes is that zig-zag setting on the sewing machine and some colorful thread. Add a few bits of fun yellow fabric and voila.

Ok. this took forever but ended up looking really precious. We found a stash of colorful beads and used them to stitch fun designs, like flowers on a vine and a bright starburst on our striped anklets.

We heart hot pink and orange. So we grabbed a fabric pen in each color, picked up our white ruffled seesaw dress, and went dot, dot, dot...

I have to admit the DIY for a cardigan is a super cute idea! Although, I won't be using a cashmere cardigan like the tip does! ;)
